
Caught in the Act is an ongoing BMS program to recognize teachers, staff, and students who do things above what is expected of them.
These seventh grade students qualified for state recognition in the Duke University Talent Identification Program by scoring in the top 30 percent of the Talent Search highly selective group of students. In order to achieve state recognition, a student must score 21 or greater on any subject section of the ACT.
Mrs. Wendy VanDyke, 6th grade social studies teacher, received a
Fellowship through Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History to
study for one week this summer at the University of Virginia.BMS would like to thank the fifteen teachers who participated on the HP Leadership Grant team this year. This seventh grade student is shown using some of the HP equipment provided by the grant to enhance instruction through the use of technology in the classroom.
