Our Mission
The mission of Bolivar Middle School is to prepare our students for secondary education by being proficient in writing, reading, and math at the end of the 8th grade as measured on the TCAP Writing Assessment and the CRT portion of the TCAP Terra Nova.
Our Vision
A caring, dedicated staff, in partnership with parents and the Bolivar community, will ensure that all students at Bolivar Middle School make a successful transition from elementary to high school in a safe, challenging learning environment where our students develop as responsible, independent, and productive citizens who enjoy learning. To demonstrate their high levels of achievement and their readiness for secondary education, our students will read fluently with comprehension, write with clarity, think critically to solve problems, and experience positive social interactions that promote self-worth and responsible living.
Our Beliefs
Student learning is the chief priority for the school.
All students are special individuals who deserve a secure, healthy, and nurturing environment that encourages learning.
All students can be challenged to learn at their level in their learning style when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
Various teaching methods for instruction, high expectations, and quality assessments increase individual student performance.
Students must be given opportunities to demonstrate what they have learned and to assess what they can do.
Learning and decision-making should be responsibilities shared by students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community.
Students will demonstrate behavior consistent with school policies and system policies.
