Middleton Elementary School is a public, rural school that was built in 1973. The school eventually outgrew its facilities and to alleviate the crowding of classrooms, in 1999, a new wing extension consisting of 12 classrooms was added to the main building. In 2005, a multi-purpose building was added to our campus. There are presently 500 students enrolled at Middleton Elementary. Two administrators, 34 teachers, 10 assistants, 6 cafeteria workers, a nurse, a guidance counselor, and two secretaries make up the faculty and staff. In addition to regular classroom instruction, students participate in music, library, and guidance classes each week.
The school has been fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1986.
