The Middleton
High School
Library Media
Center’s goal is to
provide all students with the learning experiences and activities that will
prepare them to meet the demands of the 21st century. To meet these demands our library collection
contains over ten thousand books and materials.
The library has 22 computers and 19 in the
computer lab. We have a portable
computer lab of 28 laptop computers, and this year we are adding another
portable computer lab. Forty-one
computers are available for library use, and approximately fifty are available for
classroom use.
Our library utilizes programs such as A+, Brainchild,
Accelerated Reading and Math, Star Reading and Math, and the
Gateway Program to assist teachers in meeting curriculum standards. These programs provide students the
opportunity to practice and become proficient in the skills needed to meet course
goals and score well on standardized tests. Additionally, the library assists the school
with school tutoring and credit recovery to enable all students to experience
success.
We are looking forward to another great
year at MHS. Don’t forget to visit the
Library!
