2009-2010 Whiteville Lions Basketball Team
The 2009-2010 WES boys' basketball team has great potential to have a winning and successful season this year. We have plenty of experience with seven returning players three (3) who were starters and the other four played significant minutes in the past season.
A C Douglas and Larius Taylor were selected to the 2009-2010 Area 6 All Tournament Team. Both have been members of the WES Lions basketball team for two years. They are good students who have exhibited high character on and off the court. A C Douglas averaged 8 points per game and Larius Taylor averaged 10 points per game which helped led the Lions basketball team to a 7-6 overall record and 6-4 conference record for the 2009-2010 season. I wish them the best of luck next year as they pursue a spot on the Bolivar Central High School basketball team for the school year 2010-2011.
