2009-2010 Whiteville Lady Lions Basketball Team
The Whiteville Lady Lions record for this season was 5-5. We received fourth place in the tournament. The team players were Alexus Beard, Marleasha Beard, Kyla Clark, Erica Davis, Chasity Mathews, Susie Mathews, Shikedria Polk, Jasmine Robertson, Kadeja Simon and Lakayla Waddell. We had a good season. We could not have done it without our wonderful coach Ms. Shay Murden. What we like the most about this season is: " if we played like top models, we would have to wear high-heels like top models". We also learned a valuable lesson: "there is no 'I' in the word TEAM.
