     There will be an open house soon for everyone to come by and view all the new things in the library.  Watch for the date of the open house.  Ms. Weir and other staff members will let everyone know the date and time.

   More good news to share is the Accelerated Reading (AR) on line testing.  Renaissance Learning has over 600,000 AR tests and are adding more each day.  There is a software program called Renaissance Place at school.  This program has a special feature called Renaissance Home Connect, which a student and parent can access outside of school from any computer with an Internet connection.  Renaissance Home Connect is fun and easy to use.  It allows the teacher, you and your child to share information about the child's progress in Accelerated Reader.

    Students of WES are working hard each week to meet their individual reading goals.  The students who meet their goals each week will receive a special prize each three weeks of the nine weeks.  At the end of each nine week period, the students who have met their nine weeks goal get an extra something.  At the end of the school year there is always something very, very special for those hard working students who met their AR goals for the year.  Please help your child reach their AR goal each week so at the end of the year they will have their yearly goal met.  WES teachers and staff are planning and working on a very special reward for the students who meet their yearly goal.  So students start reading and taking AR tests to meet your personal AR goal.
