     If you want to enjoy a morning of reading and fun, mark your calendar for March 2, 2010, it is "Read Across America" Day.  There is a rumor that "The Cat in the Hat" and Thing 1 and Thing 2 are coming to WES that morning to help the "reading guests".  You may come to the school and read to any age, group or class of students.  Come and enjoy the morning reading and sharing the love of reading with the students of WES. Spend an hour with the students during "Read Across America".  By the way, March 2 is the birthday of Dr. Seuss, a man who knew "where the places you could go reading.  We look forward to seeing you March 2, 2010.

    Students of WES are working hard each week to meet their individual reading goals.  The students who meet their goals each week will receive a special prize for that week.  At the end of each nine weeks the students who have met their nine weeks goal get an extra something and of course, at the end of the year there is always something very, very special for those hard working students who met their AR goals for the year.  Please help your child reach their A R goal each week so at the end of the year they will have their yearly goal met.  With the help of some special friends and the profit from the Book Fair we are planning a awesome end of the year event.
