21st Century Extended School Day Program
Students who attend the Extended School Day Program each afternoon Monday through Thursday went on a field trip this week. The students who had a 75% attendance during the Extended School Day from October to April were taken to "Incredible Pizza" for food, fun and games. The students got to eat all the pizza (all kinds), pasta, and desserts mainly, ice cream, that they could hold. Then it was off to play games and have fun. There were go-carts to drive with many of the students showing how well they could "drive" going around a oval track. If you think the students had fun you should have seen Mr. Jeff McGowan, trying to help the student drive around the track. He was setting on the side lines on the bleachers.
The games were fun with some of the students winning many, many tickets! There were basketballs to shoot, video games with motorcycles to ride and of course there was the bump cars to drive. What a wonder day everyone had playing, eating and enjoying the day away from the school. All of the Extended School Day students came back to school, after sleeping all the way back, telling of all the fun they had at "Incredible Pizza". The students want to say a big "Thanks" to Ms. Polk and Ms. Joyce Woods for making it possible for them to enjoy the day.
